Simplestream Shortlisted for Content Innovation Award

Simplestream has been shortlisted for the upcoming Content Innovation Awards’ “OTT TV Initiative of the Year” for its work with TVPlayer, an online television service.

The award celebrates the most impressive innovations in TV content creation, distribution and technology over the past year. TVPlayer Plus will be showcased by Simplestream at IBC (Amsterdam, 9-13 September, stand 14.G11).

The nomination recognises the market impact of Simplestream’s Cloud TV platform as an outstanding digital video solution. Launched in December 2013, TVPlayer is one of the fastest growing consumer streaming platforms that hosts 85+ free-to-air channels across multiple devices through a single app to over 600,000 unique viewers each week. TVPlayer Plus was deployed as a low-cost monthly subscription service extension in October 2015, providing users with a greater range of content through a seamlessly personalised user experience.
