We are really pleased to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for the 2017 Content Innovation Awards’ “TV Service Innovation Of the Year” for our Hybrid TV Solution – an award that celebrates the most impressive innovations in TV content creation, distribution and technology over the past year.
It is also great that our customer Trace has been shortlisted for the ‘OTT TV Service of the Year’ category for its new SVOD, live TV and radio offering TracePlay. Simplestream’s Cloud TV Platform was used to build and power the innovative service that offers direct and live access to 10 music and sports TV channels, 31 urban music radio stations, and a selection of urban series, films and documentaries.
Launched in March and built in just under 12 weeks, it’s fantastic to see that TracePlay has been recognised as an effective, high quality service by the industry so soon after launch. TracePlay demonstrates how a niche content player can scale-up and innovate with agility as quickly as any of the giant OTT providers to gain a competitive advantage and succeed in today’s competitive OTT/TV Everywhere market. Cloud TV Platform enables this success through its flexible, end-to-end nature that delivers results that really matter, both in terms of efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
